Using our bathrooms and changerooms
Active Monash is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all. Our commitment to inclusion upholds our core values and vision ‘Participate Your Way’ and reflects the diversity of the City of Monash community.
It’s against the law to discriminate against someone because of their gender identity. Refusing to let someone use toilets, change rooms or facilities that align with their gender identity is an example of gender discrimination.

Behaviour in bathrooms and changerooms
Active Monash has a Code of Conduct that sets out our expectations of all staff and patrons, along with our Conditions of Entry. This is explained on signage across our centres.
Our Code of Conduct and Conditions of Entry outline that we do not tolerate any type of abuse, harassment, or sexual harassment in our facilities. Offensive behaviour or language is not to be used.
