Installation of new MATRIX Strength Equipment

Active Monash will be upgrading their Health Club Strength Equipment. 

The strength equipment will replace the existing Technogym equipment at Monash Aquatic & Recreation Centre (MARC) and the Clayton Aquatics & Health Club (CAHC) to align with the Matrix Fitness Equipment at Oakleigh Recreation Centre (ORC). This will mean that members will be able to easily access the same equipment, irrespective of which site they visit, ensuring increased functionality and ease of use. Members will be able to transfer their training programs simply without the need of learning a different set up of equipment.

During the installation period, both MARC and CAHC gyms will be closed to members (see closure times below) to enable installers to swiftly extract existing equipment and install new equipment. Please note all other services and amenities including Group Fitness and Aquatics are still open.

All Health Club members can enjoy free access to ORC during this period.

Clayton Aquatics & Health Club

Wednesday 24 August
Gym to closed around 9am for extraction which will last until around 5pm. Cardio equipment can be available to train on after 5pm.

Thursday 25 August
Gym closed for Thursday, no member use of any equipment. 

Friday 26 August
Gym to open again for full member use.

Monash Aquatic & Recreation Centre

Wednesday 31 August 
Gym to closed around 9am for extraction which will last until around 5pm. Cardio equipment can be available to train on after 5pm.

Thursday 1 September - Friday 2 September
Gym closed for Thursday/Friday, no member use of any equipment. 

Saturday 3 September 
Gym to open again for full member use.
