Harmony Week is a time to recognise and celebrate Australia's rich cultural diversity. It's about inclusiveness, respect and sense of belonging for everyone.

The City of Monash is one of Melbourne's most culturally, linguistically and religiously diverse communities, with over 54% residents born overseas and more than 56% households speaking a language other than English at home.

At Active Monash, we're embracing the Harmony Week message - everyone belongs - through a range of in-centre activities from 17 - 23 March:

  • Harmony Tree: Contribute by colouring a handprint that represents your cultural background.

  • Taste of Harmony: Share a favorite recipe that reflects your heritage.

  • Les Mills Launch: Our exciting new launch of the Les Mills program will be themed orange, symbolising support for diversity and inclusion.

  • Spotlight Classes at Oakleigh Recreation Centre: Come to these sessions with no-cost to attend and wear orange to show support:

We encourage all members and visitors to get involved and wear orange in support of Harmony Week. Join us in celebrating our vibrant community.
