Our Swim School Team are excited for this summer season! We’re gearing up to launch our brand-new offering - Social Swim! These sessions are designed to help those who enjoy lap swimming for their wellbeing, to improve your technique and endurance so you can go further this summer and beyond.

Did you know that regular lap swimming can:

  • Help reduce stress – rhythmic movement and breathing in swimming can help calm the mind and reduce stress levels.
  • Enhance your mood – swimming releases endorphins, which naturally boost mood and reduce feelings of anxiety.
  • Provide a full body workout with low impact – swimming engages all major muscle groups, improving strength, endurance, and flexibility.
  • Assist with your heart health – regular lap swimming can assist in improving heart and lung function.

Our goal in Social Swim is to help with individual performance in the pool, as well as provide a supportive environment that participants can encourage each other, reduce feelings of isolation and create a positive and inclusive atmosphere in our amazing outdoor pool.

So, what are you waiting for? Join our Swim School Team each Thursday in our Oakleigh Recreation Centre Summer Season, from 7am and start lapping up the benefits!

How to book a Social Swim session

Existing Members: 

If you’re an existing member, via your My Account portal. Once logged in, follow the steps below. 

New Members: 

If you’re a new member and do not have an existing online account with Active Monash, refer to ‘How to create a My Account profile – New Customers’ under the ‘Account Setup and Access’ section to create a new account. 

To book, simply log into your My Account portal and follow the below steps.  

Step 1 

Select ‘Book’ from the navigation bar located on the top of the page.  

Step 2 

Select your preferred class, date and time. Bookings are only available 49 hours in advance. 

Step 3 

Click ‘Book now’ and follow the prompts to finalise the booking and process payment if required. 

Once booked, you will receive a booking confirmation email, and you can also view and manage your bookings via your My Account portal under ‘My bookings’.

Please note, entry is $2 for non-members.
