Summer Strong Team Challenge

This 4-week team-based challenge is designed to help you move more, feel stronger, and reconnect with yourself, your goals, and your community. Points scored through attendance, challenges, Active Communities Activities and just giving it a go. 

It All Starts with the Triathlon Launch Event! We are kicking things off with a high energy Triathlon Launch Event featuring timed cycling, running, and swimming. It’s not about being the fastest it’s about showing up, moving your body, and setting the tone for the month ahead.

What to expect over 4 weeks:

  • 1-hour weekly team training sessions
    1 session per week with your team of 4, led by our expert trainer. 
    Sessions are fun, structured, and designed to build strength, fitness, and team spirit. 
  • Weekly fitness challenges
    Each week brings a new challenge to complete as a team adding variety, motivation, and a little friendly competition.
  • Individual PT Support (Silver & Gold)
    Choose a package that includes 1:1 personal training to help you focus on your own goals with expert guidance.
  • Leaderboard to keep track of your team's points
    Scored by attending sessions, events, weekly team challenge, activities and giving it your best go!

I have not worked out for a while and feel unfit.

Summer Strong is designed for everyone and all fitness levels, the skilled Instructors can modify any exercise to suit all levels

Do I have to attend all sessions?

Attendance at all sessions is encouraged but not mandatory. If you miss a weekly team session, please note that these cannot be rescheduled or made up. For those on the Gold or Silver packages, PT sessions are recommended to be used within the 4-week period, but you will have a 6-month expiry to use them.

Can I get a discount if I sign up my friend / I have concession Card?

There are no further discounts for concession or referrals. The cost of the program has been developed per participant for the 4 weeks.

Do I need to book in each session?

Please book into each session via your My Account portal.

New Members: If you’re a new member and do not have an existing online account with Active Monash, refer to ‘How to create a My Account profile – New Customers’ under the ‘Account Setup and Access’ section to create a new account.

How to book:

To book, simply log into your My Account portal and follow the below steps:

Step 1
Select ‘Book’ from the navigation bar located on the top of the page. 

Step 2
Select your preferred class, date and time. Bookings are only available 49 hours in advance.

Step 3
Click ‘Book now’ and follow the prompts to finalise the booking and process payment if required.

Once booked, you will receive a booking confirmation email, and you can also view and manage your bookings via your My Account portal under ‘My bookings’.

You will be booked into each session automatically once you register for the program; all you need to do is collect your ticket to attend.

I am late to the program, will I be refused?

For your safety, and to avoid disruption to others, we strongly encourage making it to the session for the start time. Of course, we understand that sometimes things might impact your timely arrival. The instructor will use their discretion if its suitable for you to join in on the activity when you arrive.

I cannot stay the whole session, so is it worth me coming

100% even 30mins will benefit you, also you can leave after 45mins or as needed, we understand things can pop up.

Do you have spare gym mats if I forget mine?

We do not have spare mats so please remember to bring yours. Mats can be purchased from reception.

I want to bring a friend/family, do they need to be a member?

No, Summer Strong Team Challenge is a 4-week program you do not have to be a member to participate, anyone can join.

What is the minimum age for participants?

The challenge is recommended and programmed for 16+ years old.

Can I bring my young children; they will just sit in the corner?

Children are unable to attend with their parent/guardian. Our supervision guidelines mean that children need to be under constant supervision by their parent/guardian which would not be possible whilst participating in the programmed activities.
