Council has confirmed it has no involvement in an advertised sumo wrestling event being promoted as taking place at Oakleigh Recreation Centre on Saturday 4 July.
Council wishes to make it clear that there is no booking in place for this event at Oakleigh Recreation Centre, and Council is not involved in the organisation, promotion, ticket sales or delivery of the event in any way.
Anyone who has already purchased tickets should contact the ticket seller or event promoter directly to seek clarification, a refund or further information regarding the status of the event.
Council remains committed to ensuring accurate information is available to the community and encourages residents to verify event details through official channels before purchasing tickets for events advertised at Council facilities.
